About Me

End to End
Product Designer.

I am a Senior Product Designer at Swiftly where I lead design efforts for our consumer products. I consider myself an end to end designer meaning I take a product from the initial stages of identifying and defining a need; researching and designing; user testing and A/B testing; and scaling a rollout or release. I have worked in multiple design teams, workflows and industries which has crafted me into an unique designer that I am today. As well as being self autonomous and a generalist I can be hyper focused on any given stage of the design process as well. As a product designer I craft a delicate balance between the needs of my users, design, stake holders and the business. Data, human behavior and accessibility/ inclusion ultimately helps shape my design decisions.

Teaching Designers
of the Future.

I am also a Visual/ Interface Design Instructor at a full stack front end design bootcamp called DESIGNATION Labs that I helped co-found. I’ve had the honor of lecturing and mentoring over 450 students over a span of 30 cohorts and 4 years. Our students have gone on to work for great companies like Yelp, Microsoft, Walmart Labs, IBM, Facebook, Google and more! I am passionate about teaching and mentoring other designers as I got to where I am by amazing instructors and mentors myself. The design community is wonderful in fostering such environment and I definitely love giving back to it. The world can always use more problem solvers!

Travelgrammer &
a Tribe Called Quest.

When I’m not designing away, I love to travel and capture the beautiful world and my adventures. Being a digital designer in Chicago, a concrete jungle, it’s always a nice change of pace to disconnect and escape with my wife to the wilderness for a hike or camp. There’s nothing like getting lost in the wilderness in the British Columbia of Canada. I shoot with whatever I have whether it be my Sony a6000, iPhone X, Google Pixel or GoPro.
Other times you can find me shooting hoops, being a diehard Chicago sports fan, waking up with a hot cup of Earl Grey tea, or jamming away to 90s hip hop.
